Gotta start somewhere

"History will be kind to me because I intend to write it." (Winston Churchill)

Welcome to my first post in my first blog! I believe we are each creating our own history every day! Each day we create heritage - and it's never been easier (and more fun!) to preserve it so our children and our loved ones will remember those things that matter most. I love that Heritage Makers helps "bind families together!"

Heritage Makers has opened up a whole world of possibilities for me. Instead of feeling guilty every time I walk by my piles of unfinished scrapbooks and albums, I feel excited about using my photos! Because now all I need is my computer, a high-speed internet connection, and my photos and I'm good to go. I can make a hardbound book in one day that showcases our special family beach trip - complete with photos and the stories behind them. No mess, no cleanup, no glue required.

In January I made our 2010 family yearbook. When I "went digital" a few years ago, I vowed that my bare minimum expectation for myself was to make family yearbook each year, highlighting each month in photos and having a couple paragraphs with the special memories. I've been able to do much more than this, but I still recommend that everyone should have at least a family yearbook! What a treasure of memories! My kids love looking at them and I love having it to remind me of the year!
